Flickr

I don’t know about you guys, but I take a lot of pictures. It started when I was constantly taking pictures to scrapbook. After that it started to turn into a hobby. I have noticed that when I have interesting pictures, my page is more interesting. So I am constantly challenging myself to take better photos.

After awhile all of those photos start of fill up the camera. So my question for you is, What do you do with all of your pictures? If you’re like me you take your card to a photo center, print the pictures, bring home the CD and store it somewhere. After all of our pre/post wedding festivities, I noticed that I had a lot of CD’s. Which got me thinking…What will I do if one of these CD’s get lost or damaged. The pictures are gone for good. I knew that I didn’t want to put them on my computer because the computer could crash and we would also risk losing them for good. Not to mention that it would fill up the memory…FAST!

That’s when I discovered the website for Flickr. Flickr is hosted by Yahoo and is a photography storing/sharing site. Depending on the amount of pictures you have it’s free. After a certain amount there is a yearly charge. I feel that it is completely worth it. Once your account is created you can upload your pictures.

Flickr has a lot to offer. There are so many features that I haven’t even discovered yet. However, from what I do know here are some of my favorites:

-Unlimited Storage (for a minimal fee)

-Editing by PicNik

-Several Organizing Features

-Online Ordering with Delivery to Your House or Pick up at a Local Target

-Easy To Share

-Networking Capabilities
